FloridaBlueQuotes is here to help you explore and compare your Medicare options so you can find the plan that truly fits your needs. Our priority is making sure you and your family have the right coverage not pushing products on behalf of insurance companies. For many of our clients, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plans provide the best balance of benefits and protection, and we’ll guide you through the choices to find the solution that works for you.
Medicare Advantage plans are most commonly offered as either an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) or a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization). HMO plans provide managed care, where you are generally required to use doctors, hospitals, and specialists within the plan’s network, often with lower out-of-pocket costs and set copays when you stay in-network. PPO plans, on the other hand, give you more flexibility by allowing you to see both in-network and out-of-network providers, though you may pay more when going outside the network, and they typically include a monthly premium along with copays. Most Medicare Advantage plans also include prescription drug coverage and may offer additional benefits not available through Original Medicare, such as dental, vision, hearing, and even fitness memberships.
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare and serve as an alternative to Original Medicare (Parts A and B). Many of these plans also include prescription drug coverage as well as additional benefits such as routine dental, vision, and hearing care. While each Medicare Advantage plan must meet Medicare’s basic standards, the specific costs, copays, and premiums vary by company and by plan. It’s also important to note that even if you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you are still responsible for paying your Part B premium to Medicare.
